National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology is responsible for organizing a joint entrance exam for those candidates who are interested in making their career in Hotel Management and Hospitality. With the help of this exam, the candidates can take admission to various courses such as B.SC Hospitality and Hotel Administration program. These courses are full time or regular courses. It is an entrance exam which is being conducted every year to provide admission in the best colleges across the country. The application forms are made available from 12th December, 2016
Important Dates-
All the important dates regarding this entrance exam has been announced which are as-

- Last Date to apply for the entrance exam is 14th April, 2017
- Admit card will be made available from 19th April, 2017
- Exam will be held on 29th April, 2017
- Result will be declared in third week of July, 2017
Eligibility Criteria-
Candidates who are interested in appearing the entrance exam must have cleared 12th class examination from a recognized board with English as a mandatory subject
Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying exam recently can also apply for the entrance exam
Candidates of General and OBC categories can be of 22 years as maximum limit as on 1st July, 2017
Candidates of other categories can be of 25 years as maximum limit as on 1st July, 2017
At the time of admission candidates need to show a physical fitness certificate which should be issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner.
For SC and ST candidates 15% and 7.5% of seat are reserved respectively in the Central and State Government Institutes of Hotel Management
Important Details-
Admission to various courses will be strictly on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and the rank earned by the candidate in the entrance exam
Ranks will be entirely on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam
During process of counseling, candidates must go through the eligibility, verification of the documents, depositing of fee of counseling and semester fee as well.
Exam Pattern-
Duration of the entrance exam is 3 hours
Question paper will be in Hindi and English both
30 questions will be asked in Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude
30 questions will be asked in Reasoning and Current Affairs
30 questions will be asked in General Knowledge and Current Affairs
60 questions will be asked in English
30 questions will be asked in Aptitude for Service Sector
Admit Card-
Admit card for the entrance exam will be issued on 19th April, 2017. Candidates have to download it from the official website. No admit card will be sent to the candidates by post or by e-mail
Result-
The result for the entrance exam will be issued on official website or online portal. Candidates should keep a check over the official website for the results. Result will be declared in the third week of July, 2017.
