UPSC had successfully conducted National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Exam on 17 April 2016. This exam is held twice in a year. Earlier UPSC had accepted applications for these exams till January 29th 2016 for filling the vacancies in Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

NDA 1 result 2016
The test was held at various centers throughout India on 17th April, 2016.
Result date: NDA NA 1 Exam Result was declared on 29th June, 2016
Numbers of positions to be filled with the help of this examination are as follows:
National Defense Academy: 320 posts which includes 208 for Army, 42 for Navy and 70 for Air Force
Naval Academy: 55 posts for the Cadet Entry Scheme for 12th Class Candidates.
NDA Examination is organized for the purpose of admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defense Academy for the 137th Course and 99th Indian Naval Academy Course which is going to commence from 2nd January, 2017.
Admission will be made on the basis of results of the examination which is conducted to examine intelligence and personality test of candidates who clears the written examination by SSB.
The result has been madeavailable on the UPSC website and the candidates to check their scores.
Pattern of Exam
The written examination consist of multiple choice objective type questions from two subjects which are
Mathematics – 300 marks
General Ability Test – 600 marks
Time duration for both the exams is 2 hours and 30 minutes
Candidates who have to appear for the exam have been communicated about the time table and venue of examination
Candidates must take in consideration that there is negative marking for wrong answers in the Objective Type Question Papers.
SSB Test/Interview carries 900 marks.

After the declaration of result, the candidates who have qualified the written test can check NDA Result in the list issued by National Defense Academy. The ones who cleared the written exam will have to appear for interviews. The mark-sheets of the candidates will be released in 15 days from the date of declaration of the final result after concluding with the SSB Interviews
Cutoff
Official cut off marks of NDA 1 Exam of 2015 is Minimum qualifying marks to be scored in the written examination out of 900 marks is 306 marks with a minimum of 30% marks in each Subject
Minimum marks to be gained by finally selected and suggested candidate out of 1800 marks is 674 marks.
In order to check the result for National Defense Academy 1 exam, candidates need to visit the official website of National Defense Academyonce after the result has been declared which enable the candidate to download the result in PDF format which have the list of the successful candidates.The printout of result is mandatory to be carried for interview.
